JenC 90 Posted September 22, 2012 Are you on an acid reducer? Like Prilosec. I think it's unusual to feel hunger after just having surgery (I think you said you are just going home from the hospital). I've read a lot of folks suggesting that the "hunger" you are feeling at this point my be acid. Before you leave the hospital perhaps you could ask about one. Personally I didn't experience hunger until about week 6 and I think even now I feel hunger is in my head and a result of falling behind on my liquids. Good luck to you and congrats on your surgery! I got thru the liquid phase sipping alot of clear broths and with the dreaded clear Isopure (I like it). I think the Protein really staves off hunger. robynluevano 85 Posted September 22, 2012 I don't feel any hunger & I am 2.5 weeks out. What I do feel, that feels similar is bubbles of gas & the stomach trying to "wake up" still, from surgery.
