1 day post op and got home around 2:00 PM today. All is well-- no nausea or much gas. Walked all night and got little sleep. Glad to be going to my bed tonight. Removed drain right before I left and the insisions were glued not stapled so nothing to remove. Now I am sipping oh yeah shakes and crystal light Water -- 2 oz each per hour. No problems yet. All future sleevers-- nothing to worry about -- so far so good. We all need to name our sleeves-- I think I will call mine Sheila so if they act up you can just say Sheila is having a bad day. LOL.

Oh okay. So you get an extra week of the diet. That's a good thing.

Hello everyone. I'm scheduled for 1/30/13. I'm now 1 week away from starting my 2 week diet.

Hi Corey, my date is Jan 29, we can be surgery buddies. My doctor doesnt do a two week diet prior, just 3 days. I wish he did so I could get in the hand of just having liquids.< /p>

Sounds good to me. :)

I had my sleeve done on 1/07. Except for the gas pains, it has been going ok up until this evening. My mother made a chicken Soup for my family but strained it for me. I was drinking the broth tonight and suddenly I felt like something was stuck and I began to vomit. A tiny piece of chicken came out. I have been burping since. I hope it didn't do any damage! My only advice...walk, walk, walk! It really does help

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
