Skinny Women

Recommended Posts

I have to admit that I do notice that I look at women and critique their appearance. I'm ashamed of it, but I do it.

Uh... This is wrong???? Sheeezzzzz... I thought that was the whole point of going out in public - to look at other women and say, "If I had a figure like that, I'd NEVER wear that!" or "I may be fat, but at least I have better fashion sense than THAT!" or "Even if I had a figure like that, I'd never wear THAT!" or "I hope she cuts her own hair, because I would have never paid for THAT!" or "OMG!!!!! Did you just see THAT????" or...

well, maybe you get the idea. lol

So, that's wrong? :D

Oh My I am normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

We are forever going to the mall and my husband said the other day, what are you looking at the woman for? and I told him that is what I wanted to look like. Then I felt like an idiot for looking at another woman. I am forever looking and saying, Man I wish I had her body!!!

Thanks for letting my know that I fit in rather well here:cool:

All these years I thought I was a lesbian because I'm constantly staring at thin women. Now I find a whole support group of lesbians who also stare at women! Who hooo! Smoochy smooch. Odd that it never ocurred to me that my "staring" is somthing other overweight heterosexual women do. So good to be somewhat normal, eh?

I didn't think it had anything to do with us being overweight. :D

My Mom is a people watcher - she used to sit on the couch and just look out the window, and watch people go by. We can sit at the mall and watch people for hours. It's better than TV. lol

:D

Could be that we're plain ol' people watchers. But I stare at half-naked girls in the gym, wondering if it hurts to look that good! Never been caught and I avoid their fun parts (except boobs, I have to know what it's like to have perfect boobs.)

Most of my friends are skinny too. I have had very few fat friends growing up. My neighbor is one of those 5'7", auburn hair, 130 maybe and beautiful and thinks she is just sooooo fat. She just had twins in Feb. and only gained 35 pounds. Don't get me worng I love her to death but sometimes it gets on my nerves when she says she is just sooo fat.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
