RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted September 20, 2012 Hi.....Went to my pre-op appointment today to sign for the procedure, get weighed, talk to the dietician, and go over the surgery with my surgeon. Mandatory here...then you get a call and told to come back for tests and given the pro-op diet, all this is usually done a month in advance! I was not there very long before I was told that my surgery is scheduled for Oct.1/12. I had to start pre-op diet immediately so I left the hospital and bought some diabetic boost that I have to take until the my Slim Time gets here from Montreal which I have to order first thing tomorrow morning. Then they tell me that I may be called back as early as Friday for the blood work. I could feel my body rushing and my mind exploding. I had a cold cut sandwich for my last cheat meal..... Tomorrow will be my total first day on pre-op diet. Already grumpy! I am happy that I do not have to continue to count down the months before I have the surgery. I am well on my way now...and exploding with good and bad emotions...... What is rad is that I was down 7 lbs from my last visit.....that is 7 less I have to lose...win win I say.....thought I would share and hope I don't injure or kill anyone while I am on this pre-op diet.......The good thing is I don't have to do the full 2 weeks..... I'm doing the work and baby stepping..........( What About Bob )

southernchic01 18 Posted September 21, 2012 Good luck, my friend! Try not to think about it too much while you are on pre-op. I was lucky and didn't have to do that...whew! You will do just fine and the 1st will be here before you know it. Keep your head up and you will be well on your way to a new you.

FindingMyWay 1 Posted September 21, 2012 even if your surgery was scheduled a month away... it would still seem like it was happening too quickly. i think it's only natural to feel nervous!! are you self pay? that usually puts you in front of all the insured people lol
