Hello all, I am 1 week post op and had been having a hard time getting my Water in. I tried everything so today I tried unsweetened iced tea. I don't know why but it goes down sooo much better.

Not sure what you question is here but if you want to know if it counts as Water I believe it does

Just make sure its decaffeinated, otherwise you're fine. Caffeine will dehydrate you and of course, defeat the purpose. Good luck :)

I really liked Sleepy Time Tea right after surgery. So soothing! I still like it now, but I can also enjoy many other things at goal and over one year out. My newest find is sugar free apple cider mix. I found it by the hot chocolate. Great treat in the evenings as the temperature cools.

I decided to try chamomille(?) & lemongrass. So far so good no pain. I am not able to drink Water. My stomach starts hurting. I am tired of crystal light and Diluted Isopure ..

Sometimes the surface tension of Water gets to me and I add a squeeze of lemon in. That has just happened since surgery.

@alliecat, Yes I am also tired of Protein Shakes and Water too. I guess because I was drinking them before I actually had to that now i'm sick if them. I tried the Lipton tea and honey with mango and pineapple and the lemon, they are pretty good and I can usually drink the while cup, just takes awhile.

@James no it wasn't a question just stated a thought to see others view, I guess I did just leave it out there in left field...LOL!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
