I pb it seems once a week and I haven't gotten to the point of vomiting for about 3 weeks. It happened more when I got my 2nd fill until I got used to the new restriction.

I don't really get constipated but, I don't go as often as I used to because I really don't take alot of extra calories to make that waste..seems almost everything I eat I try to keep healthy so it's all being used in my body. :)

Since having my second fill (4 days ago) I have PB'd every day.....I'm hoping this will settle down in a few days.

I have never vomited or had Constipation (touch wood)

I've Pb'd once in the 2 1/2 months I've been banded and going for another fill tomorrow so hope it doesn't happen anytime soon.

I don't have the Constipation problem and that's probably like Jack said just post op and my pb was my fault I was eating bread last week because I haven't been having a problem with it and I was eating it too fast and 10 min. later up it came. So keep it slow and you should be okay.

I pb'd quite a bit after both of my fills. But, once I remembered to slow down, take baby bites and chew to mush that stopped.

I do have major Constipation problems, especially for the past month. I have found that a little bit of good ol' Milk of Magnesia gets things "flowing" nicely and quickly.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
