kristikay 60 Posted September 19, 2012 I am curious how long most people need to be off work after surgery, I don't have a desk job, I need to be able to stand and to some lifting although I can limit the amount for awhile.

ready4change77 88 Posted September 19, 2012 Your having surgery next Wed & am I understanding you to say your going back to work the following Tuesday??? Good luck... I haven't heard if any one going back that quick but everyone's body is different... My story in short I was sleeved 9/12 & had intentions of goin home the next day but due to some serious side incision pain I stayed an extra night... The Dr also repaird a hiatal hernia during the surgery... Overall the surgery went well but my body is in no ways ready to go back to work after just having it last Wed... Excited for you, did you have to do a pre-op diet & if so goes that goin??? Sent from my iPhone using VST
pandee04 5 Posted September 19, 2012 I'm 2 weeks post-op tomorrow and feel like I can go back to work. It's an environment that requires a lot of walking and standing with very minimal lifting. I do think it really depends on how quickly your body heals though. Good luck!
