Hey girl... This may sounds crazy... But go to he baby food section of the store and try the Gerbers Mild Cheddar Graduates Crunchies. 35 calories for 18 pieces of it and it totally satisfies the craving. It's like Cheetos for babies. hope this helps!!

Awesome thanks for the tip!

Today is my 4 week surgiversary. Surgery day weight was 283 and today I'm 265 so 18 lbs gone. Started out in sz 24 jeans today I'm comfortably in sz 22. Starting regular foods today, kinda scared! So excited to get caffeine back today. Had my first cup of coffee and it tasted amazing. Luckily I feel really good these days. My energy is back, I've got my meal sizes under control, know what foods work and ones that don't (chicken breast). Really looking to the future and have hope that this time ill lose my excess weight for good.

To all who are doing well keep up the good work and to those with complications I hope things get better soon.

Monday Check In

I only lost 0.8 lbs this week and I am really disappointed because i work out for at least 1hr a day. How can this be possible? I have not been getting in my Water so I am going to try that this week to see if there is a difference. Do you guys think that I work out to much?

  1. muscle weighs more than fat remember you are working out
  2. you could be in starvztion mode if you are eating little cal and putting out a lot of energy that could be it also

Well um officially 1 month out and I'm still at a stall. I feel like I get full a lot quicker now. I've gone out to eat and done well as long as I stay clear of chicken.< /p>

Went to my first restaurant. Ate slow, chewed well. 2 tsp of corn, 2 tsp of broccoli cheese casserole and a little catfish. I didn't vomit! so excited! And came home and had a couple bites of birthday cake and ice cream. Still haven't vomited. But I'm not going to drink for a little while. That would be a bad idea. But I want to. Thirsty.

I just ate a whole darn boneless skinless chicken breast. Took me 1.5 hours but I was determined. Yum!!!

For those who are on soft foods- I love chicken and I buy frozen boneless skinless- put in crockpot on warm all day with a can of cream of chicken and can of skim milk. Soooo moist and yummy!!!

Why is it that the bad food goes down so easy? I just ate an ice cream sandwich with no problem. I've been so hungry the last few days, I guess it has to do with me being sick.

I washed my hair this morning and it was coming out by the handful ????I went and bought that fall fight Shampoo, I hope it helps!

I know!!! I need this bday cake out of my house. So far my belly really tolerates whatever - I wish sweets made me sick. I feel like I will totally beat this sleeve and will not lose. Crazy mind games

Yeah I wish I were one of those that had dumping or something from sweets. I can eat them with no problem.

Oh sweetie, you need way more Protein if your hair is falling out! Don't lose your hair. Eat more Protein.< /p>

I'm having trouble with eggs, I can't eat more than a bite or two, hard boiled or scrambled. I used to eat them all the time (high Protein and low carb for my diabetic diet), Seems strange not to be able to eat them now. tuna is ok, chicken is also not easy to get down, just a few bites does it. I ate about 4 low fat crackers today - heavenly.

My hair has been falling out since WEEK 2 of my surgery by the handful I am scared that i am going to go bald. I thought this was not suppose to happen until 3months are more out. I just pray that this does not continue for a entire year.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
