Has anyone heard about the supplement. I picked some up from GNC yesterday, but am hesitating to even open the package after reading reviews on Amazon and GNC site. Is it dangerous for sleevers specifically? The reason I got it was two fold: looking for something to boost metabolism and GNC sort of pushed it on me describing it as being good for boosting metabolism. It is a stimulant and there are multiple warnings on it concerning not to go over a certain daily amount and to find your tolerance before increasing.

I'm personally opposed to stimulants in general, but I don't know anything about the one you're describing. What is the active ingredient? Caffeine? If so, I'd skip it, but only because I battled a serious caffeine/diet coke addiction pre-op. At any rate, you may want to run this product by your nut and surgeon to see what their opinion may be.

How far post-op are you? Your metabolism is boosted just from the low amount of food you can eat post-op, so you may not need a booster anyway.

Thanks for the response. I am 2.5 months post-op and have done fairly well with loss so far ( 90 lb). I wanted to find something to help out more as i also am not looking to exercise as much as some have reported. Max I want to do is 1 hour a day and I plan on alternating between cardio and weight training in a week for up to 6 days a week. I have not started this plan yet. Today I generally walk daily for an hour briskly and there is some hill climbing.

As for ingredients, Super HD has something called "Super HD nootropic and CNS Support blend." The number one ingredient is Caffeine Anhydrous at 160 mg. Second ingredient is N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine at 150 mg. No idea what this is. Third ingredient is Toothed Clubmoss at 2.5 mg. I thought that ingredient sounded interesting. Again, no idea what this is. There is also something called Thermo sculpting blend at 253 mg. The iFAS50 has a mixture of various leaf extracts, Tuber fleece flower, dandelion, red pepper fruit, etc, etc. There is also a B blend in it. I already take B12 and B50 supplements and Multivitamin has B Vitamins in it.

I personally will not take any of those products. I have thought about it and decided to trust my sleeve. I have my trusty sleeve and it will help me not over eat. I choose to exercise now by walking and I have so much energy. I am actually beginning to love it. I've tried those things in the past and it never really helped at all. I work on eating healthy, organic when possible, and Protein first always.

you are only 2.5 months out and if I got this correct, you are a guy and will lose your weight a lot faster than a lady. You got the advantage on this. Just be careful the substance isn't dangerous to you. I would hate to see you get sick by this stuff. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
