DZ1RMQ 20 Posted September 17, 2012 Feel so lucky to have the sleeve and to be 21lbs from my doctor's goal. My best friend got RNY one month after I had surgery. She is having the hardest time and has to be so careful she doesn't eat something that causes her to dump. She is stuck on liquids because she pukes when she eats anything puréed. I am praying she can soon tolerate more food. I'm grateful for my sleeve. I feel great and am looking great too!!!
Tinka504 46 Posted September 18, 2012 I know a few people who have had the RNY, and they have nothing but problems. Vitamin absorption issues, becoming anemic, dumping syndrome, can’t keep anything down, always constipated. I was scared to death of the RNY. I was so thankful to hear about the sleeve. Best thing I ever did. 1 DZ1RMQ reacted to this
DZ1RMQ 20 Posted September 18, 2012 That is exactly what she is going thru! She said she is constantly constipated. She had to go to the ER because she puked 30+ times. Ugh. Poor thing.
Tinka504 46 Posted September 18, 2012 My cousin had it, and she takes Ducolax, like 10 or 15 because she got tired of talking to the wall at the doctors. She isint puking thank god, she isint doing half bad.... now. About a year after surgery she had her gullbladder out, and that eased a lot of her discomfort. That might be something to check into.... 1 DZ1RMQ reacted to this
