Jessica89 95 Posted September 17, 2012 When do you start seeing the weight loss after surgery? How soon do you notice it? If people don't mind sharing, it'd be nice to know how much people dropped in the first 2 months? Thanks everyone. *Jess*
Lissa 2,631 Posted September 17, 2012 I started seeing weight loss very quickly, within a couple of weeks. I think I dropped 40 pounds in the first two months. I started at 352, but people didnt really start noticing my loss until I hit around 70 pounds. Now, at 120 lost, people don't believe that my before picture is me. 2 Ms skinniness and Susie in Lima reacted to this

O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted September 17, 2012 Is this a trick question??? The answer is everybody is different, if we are talking about seeing the scale move, most of us see that right away, in fact it kind of creates a scale obsession to see a pound or 2 gone most mornings. However there are many, that are also completely normal, that don't see the scale move or it even moves up for the first week or 2. If you are talking about seeing it in the mirror, this is a whole different story. Unfortunately, a warped self image is all too common amongst us. By the time you notice a difference in the mirror, most likely the change in your body will be so obvious to others that they will think you are playing it down. When I noticed a change in the mirror the first time I said "well, my belly is getting a bit smaller than it was", both my wife & youngest daughter responded saying I was blind, and I was so much smaller, I had to be crazy not to see it. He best thing you can do is take pics and measurements now, and have those to compare to later. You know the old saying, a picture is worth 1000 words. And the tape measure doesn't lie. The scale will drive you crazy though. This is my weight history starting from my surgery date. This is with very minimal exercise. Keep in mind that everyone is different. Guys do tend to lose faster than ladies, high BMI lose faster than low. 1 PdxMan reacted to this
deltadawn817 106 Posted September 17, 2012 this depends on a lot of things people didn't really notice right away I was wear the same clothes and they were lose on me but I think they started to make me look bigger than I was. There are a lot of variables also if they are people that see you all the time they won't notice as much as someone who doesn't see you that much. I just say my inlaw Aunt and shew as shocked but the last time I saw here was 50lbs ago.
