Dreading The Stress Test...

Recommended Posts

As part of all my required pre-op testing I have to take a stress test. I'm a nervous wreak & haven't been able to sleep. The test is Thursday.... Has anyone else done this test? If so any tips?

Well, for me, the stress test was probably the toughest. It wasn't impossible, but it was tough. If it were easy, I wouldn't need VSG, right?

I can only tell you what I experienced. My doc had the bicycle. I was really hoping for the treadmill since I've been walking on a treadmill already for quite some time. Bicycles are not my friend. I pushed and pushed and pushed myself to get through it. I was GLAD it was over. I think I might have even cursed a word or two when I got off the bike.

Just remember it's one test out of many. YOU CAN DO IT! I'll be thinking of you and saying a few prayers that your anxieties will subside. Try going into it with a positive attitude knowing that you will be having surgery soon.

Good luck!

mine was done on bicycle pedals while I was laying down! weird... there was some heavy breathing toward the end but it wasn't too bad. I've been through a lot worse tests than that on!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
