after my surgery(and before I was taking my Vitamins = nausea) I had charly horses so bad I had to walk up stairs backwards so I didn't extend the calf as much. I started my Vitamin D (I tend to run really low) and it went away. But I think you should for sure talk to your Dr. good luck.

More like restless legs? Could be a deficiency. Keep an eye on them tonite and do make sure you call your doc in the morning if you won't call him now. The other poster was right, you really don't want to mess around with a blood clot so it should be ruled out by a medical person- not us on here. :-).

Horse when your pregnant cramps but if I sit too long and get up I do feel tightness in my calves not a clot just dehydrated a bit and lack of Calcium and other electrolytes

I figured! But these days, with *cough cough* some people jumping all over what we post, I wanted to cover my shrinking a*s and not turn this thread into a warzone. :-)

Is it any better?

Rude but not surprised!!!

Good morning! I don't think you are quite awake yet, lol. No one was rude here. :-) If it came across as rude, it certainly wasn't meant to be. Just making sure no one screamed 'she's getting MEDICAL advice!' And NewGrandmother was confirming that she what was asking for what other other peoples experience, not medical advice.

If you search 'medical advice' in other theads inevitably you'll see someone tsking and saying 'see your doctor! We shouldn't give out medical advice.'. Personally, I sure like to think that's assumed.

There IS rudness on this board, but this wasn't one of those cases. :-)

NewGrandmother, how are your legs this morning? Were you able to sleep ok?

I am pre-op, but I get leg cramps often if I don't have enough potassium. Can you do gatorade or Powerade? I have also found that Vitamin Water zero helps.

Newgrandmother, (i am a new granny too!) gatorade is good potassium and magnesium replacement as long as it is sugar free. Great for Fluid intake as well. My old family doc (i cried when she retired) told patients to put a bar of ivory soap, unwrapped under the sheets at the foot of the bed. DONT ASK ME HOW THIS OLD WIVES TAIL WORKS, BUT IT DOES ( for a lot of folks anyway) good luck!

You may be right but the way she said it could of been a lot nicer. People where just trying to help. So I appreciate your explanation and retract my theory but politeness is a god thing to learn too

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
