IrishEyes 59 Posted September 16, 2012 And ALREADY nervous. I don't have much support. Most family members don't understand, mostly the men. The females get it, though nervous too, but many are busy with children or out of state. Will keep praying. I have to remind myself that He gives the support I need. Being on preop diet is making me a little emotional too. Being hungry has impacted my mood, which was unexpected. Anyone have any tips for reducing anxiety? suepeeps 230 Posted September 16, 2012 The best advice I have is stay positive!! Mind/body healing makes a huge difference!!! This the such a great journey you are starting. Think of what your life will be like when you shed the extra pounds. I am only a little over a week out and feeling great. So excited for what is to come! Emotions definately play a part in this. Try to keep yourself busy and not dwell on things. This forum is a great place for support and so much information! If you are feeling down just go look at some of the before/after pics!! What great incentive Good luck to you!! 2 IrishEyes and LessofKelly reacted to this
nicmack31 18 Posted September 16, 2012 The best advice I can give you is be patient with yourself. I was very emotional after the surgery and would cry about stupid things. It seemed as though I had made a mistake, but now 7 months later I am SUPER happy with how I have progressed and how my new normal has become. Each day gets bettter, and then you start to see results! I can still eat all the foods I did before surgery, just in much smaller amounts. You can do this! 1 IrishEyes reacted to this
IrishEyes 59 Posted September 17, 2012 Thank you both for responding. I truly appreciate it and the things you both said have brought me comfort. Not only now, but I will look back on them and read them when I need reminding. Thanks so much.
