Help I Think I'm Dumping

Recommended Posts

Omg what a mistake. This is how this sleeve is helping but now I'm Freaking out.

I got into a huge fight with my mom detail don't matter but I went back to my safe stop. I thought what can I have at mcdonalds that will make me feel better. I got a Michael frape. I said if I put Protein in in ill be,fine.

Oh no. I feel sick my nose is running and I'm sweating. How stupid to let myself go back I've been so good for so ling even before surgery. I just tried to stay away from any problems. Now I see I can't do that. Anyway I was sleeved on 9/5 am I ok? I'm embarrassed to call the doctor.

You will probably be fine...just takes time for that Frappe to leave your stomach. I hope you learned sugars are a BIG NO NO!!!

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Isn't it crazy how powerful a grip those food emotions have on us?

Hang in there! When this episode is over you need to come up with a better plan for next time you are upset that doesnt have to do with food. Something you only will pamper yourself with when you are upset and want to eat. In the dog training world its called a 'high value treat.'. And 'treat' doesnt always mean food.

Hugs!

Hopefully you will not have many more episodes like this. I have found several things that I can no longer have.. Including broccoli cheese Soup :( there are also several things I am afraid to try in fear of having dumping syndrome.

Good luck!!

I thought sleevers didn't get dumping syndrome?

I'm fairly new so have not heard of anyone having this yet.

Thanks it passed. I made myself walk even though I thought I was going to throw up. I haven't thrown up at all since the sleeve. I won't do that again. Lesson learned the hard way.

Sugar makes me feel drunk these days. It has only taken a few episodes to turn me of sugar completely. Even looking at sweets now makes me feel nauseous.

It is not as common as with bypass but yes it does happen to a few of us unfortunate souls like me. I've had it about 5 times now in just over a month. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand what dumping syndrome is or what causes it. (my opinion)

Mocha Frappe's, any kind of chocolate makes me sick as a dog. I am kind of glad though because it only took 1 to make me stay completey away from it. Its takes about 30 min for me to feel like I wasnt gonna die.

Same here...anything chocolate or coffee related gives me dumping syndrome. I've also experienced made isulin rush after each a little bit of chocolate....heart rate beats faster, feel drunk, dizzy and nauseaous. But it's ok...chocolate is what got me into this mess in the first place.
