Ok well now I am 4 days post op and I am feeling much better. I actually now dont need any pain killers, but I am having like chest pain. It feels like someone is sitting on my chest or its like filled with air. Is that normal??? I called my doctor to ask but no one is there anyone know?

I had the same thing. It lasted for almost a week. If you're really worried call your doc and have him call you back.

During the surgery, they inflate you with air so that the Dr. can see to operate without obstruction. This air sometimes gets traped near the diaphram and causes pain. This is common with any Laporoscopy surgery not just the band. I was told walking was the best way to alleviate the pain.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
