zelmo 20 Posted September 15, 2012 How about trying crushed ice chips? That's what I've been doing...I was worried about staying hydrated as well. My surgery was this past Monday 9/10/12. I am doing fine so far. I like the crushed ice you can get from any Sonic drive in...they will sell you a bag. I like Crystal Lite Peach tea flavor as well...I have also learned to Water down any chicken broth I can't seem to stand the smell of it...go figure. I had a one week pre-diet before my surgery and today I was down 17 pounds! Can't wait to get this first few weeks behind me!

JerzyGirl 25 Posted September 15, 2012 I had trouble sipping Water constantly as well but I did chop up sugar free popsicles into little pieces and ate those to help supplement my intake. It worked out well for me.

Savarra 9 Posted September 15, 2012 You're probably reacting to the cold of the Popsicle. Stick with room temp or barely warm until the swelling gets better for optimal comfort.
Penney 4 Posted September 16, 2012 I used Sqwincher Squeeze electorate replenishing freezer pops from Walmart. They are like frozen G2.
altagirl 127 Posted September 16, 2012 Per someone else's advice on this forum I got a kids sippy cup (I took the thing out that makes it not leak if it falls over) - I have been able to drink so much more since I started using the sippy cup. Also, I started on my Protein Shakes today and it has been great because the smell of the shake makes me nauseated!
