going_down 2 Posted September 15, 2012 Came home today. The pain in my incisions is minimal, I'm walking fine. I can drink Water and shakes ok. When I woke up from surgery I had intense gas pains stuck in the middle of my chest, and that was basically the worst of it. I got on the scale though and it shows that I gained 9 pounds since the day of surgery. How long will these fluids and stuff from surgery be in me?
butter-fly 17 Posted September 15, 2012 Good question. I want to know to as I am having surgery in Oct.
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted September 15, 2012 I brought 15 pounds of Fluid home from the hospital. But they didn't stay with me but a few days. You're better off not even getting on the scale for 2 weeks. Nothing good is going to happen between now and then. You're not even burning any fat yet. In 2 weeks you will see a nice change. going_down 2 Posted September 15, 2012 I was trying not to get on the scale for at least week, but curiosity got the best of me lol.
CNTWT2BMINIME 78 Posted September 15, 2012 Gaining weight after surgery is completely normal....and each person loses it at different rates. I lost my 7 extra pounds in four days.
butter-fly 17 Posted September 15, 2012 So when I come home from the hospital in Mexico after surgery, should I expect my presurgery clothes to actually be a bit tighter on me for a few days? I'm planning what to wear on the trip home, as well as the next few days after.
