You Gotta Get This App

Recommended Posts

OK, I've been trying this app called "Shopwell". It is awesome!! It allows you to customize what you want in your diet, then as you shop you can scan an items barcode and the app will give you a score as to how well that product fits into your diet. Best of all it's FREE!!!!

I dowloaded this but i really don't understand what to do. Am I making it more difficult than it really is? Ha!

This is kind of off topic (maybe is isn't). I am a developer and trying to come up with a useful app idea. Is there any app that does not exist for people like us ( fellow sleevers)? I plan on creating something in my free time for both android and ios devices (iphone and ipad). The key goals are for it to be unique, be very useful to a lot of people and easy to use by all. A secondary goal is to make some money from it, but again, that is secondary sice this is only a hobby project outside if my daily dev job. All ideas welcome. What would be helpful for you as a sleever?

What I wish I had was an app you can put all your ingredients in (like if you were making a casserole) & it wld display the nutritional info & then u can save it so each time u made u wldnt hv to keep inputting nutritional info in.

An app where you can put in ingredients and it can give you a lighter version, plus nutritional value per serving

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
