emmmie 20 Posted September 14, 2012 Hi All, I had a revision from Lapband to VSG on Aug 15th. I used to take Loestein 24FE before my revision surgery. My surgeon told me due to absorption issues that 'could' happen I should look into another form of birth control. I went to my OB- GYN and she suggested the Nuvaring because I have PCOS and still need hormones in my birth control. So, my question is: All post-op's, what kind of Birth Control do you use? Does anyone use the Nuvaring & what do you think of it? Thanks!!
VSGRachel 25 Posted September 14, 2012 I'm have then Nuva ring. I also have pcos. I think it was a little difficult to get in the first time, not painful, just awkward. It's fine now though. I don't even feel it anymore. It felt strange the first day. But I guess it wiggled into place and now I feel nothing. You apparently can take it out for up to 3 hours for sex or whatever, but I haven't. My husband says he can't feel it and neither can I. Working great so far. I was just sleeved on 9/4.
