Dumping And Sliming... Ugh

Recommended Posts

So, had a major dump session today. My tummy and back hurt so bad for awhile today that I seriously thought I was DYING. I even called my pulmonologist and tried to get in to see him. After I slimed, I felt some better, then I came home and had to climb into the shower fully clothed. I'll leave the why to your imaginations.

Lessons learned: Dont take my Vitamins without that essential mini babybel cheese and easy on the veggies. I snacked on broccoli, carrots and cheese last night...along with about six pieces of chocolate halloween candy, over the course of seven hours. Today, I paid for it. No more junk food.

You know, it doesn't take much for us to slip back to old habits. Just a couple days ago I was eating pork chops with grilled yellow squash. It was sooooo yummy. Basically, I went back to inhaling. I ate too much, too quickly and, just like you, paid the price. I was on the verge of sliming and was hoping I would throw up I felt so terrible.

I just wasn't thinking and let my taste buds take over. I wasn't hungry, but I kept eating.

But, I guess that is the joy of the sleeve. It reminds us.

I've read that Sleevers don't get dumping syndrome :/

Sounds like what I read was wrong... Why does this happen with the sleeve?

I could understand getting dumping syndrome from eating too fast or too much, but the other day I was out and about and had an egg and sausage with a friend at a restaurant. Within 20 minutes I had a dumping episode. I haven't had one of those since before my surgery 10 months ago. I have been eating eggs and sausage for months now with no episodes. Blahhhhhhhhh! I hate dumping.

Sorry to hear about your episode but your writing about it definitely helps us newer sleevers be more careful.
