I had the procedure done 10th May 2012 & have lost 35kg, for the 1st few months I had endless amounts of energy however over the past month I've got literally no energy & feel as lazy as I was presleeve. Could it be my diet? I've been eating what I want (mostly carbs) & have had probably more nights on the booze than I should however I'm still losing weight, just have no energy that's the worst thing I loathe.....

Alcohol is a depressant and could be contributing to your lack of energy. Maybe increase Protein intake and stop drinking alcohol to see how your energy level. :)

Don't get me wrong I don't have a drinking problem it's just that I've been to a few bbqs, weddings, work functions etc. as of this week I've already started making the right changes. Does anyone know what the daily limit of carbs is?

My mum is on under 10 carbs a day on diabetic diet, and my sister is on 300-500 a day depending on her training schedule... Everyone diff. But pre-sleeve I'm averaging 300, but I'd like to cut that down (most of it is fruit and grains though- except on bad takeout days)

Nut is nutritionist and citrical (I read it as critical first too lol) is for Calcium?

Breakfast: 8oz chocolate Muscle Milk Lite

AM snack: 1/2 an Atkins bar (Mudslide usually)

Lunch: 1/3 cup tuna salad and 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese

Afternoon snack: something with at least 15 grams Protein, and no more than 5 grams carbs

Dinner: 2 oz lean meat and 1/4 cup non-starchy veggie

PM snack: Gelatein 20 (high-protein jello)

I have other options that I alternate, but that's pretty typical for a day.

I do my best to stay around 30 carbs a day also. Sometimes its a bit higher but not tht often. I eat around 300+ to 650 calories a day. Average inbetween that. I was sleeved on July 16th.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
