Slider Foods

Recommended Posts

Well..I know this topic has been hammered into the ground..but I wanted to add to the list . Grapes are my slider food..I can eat a couple of fist fulls of grapes without pain or anything..I guess if it had to be a slider food..it was a healthy slider food! I just have to watch it down the road if I stall..

I ate grapes yesterday, they were filling. This would be my choice for a slider food :-)

OK what exactly is a "Slider" I've seen the term for slider food on here before and my goofy ass self thought it was probably a recipe for mini hamburgers! :D

At least you picked a good slider food! I love my grapes too, I have a grape arbor with 60 year old vines and I get TONS of grapes every year, I have to give them away there are sooo many!

A slider food is a food that goes down without any pain and usually you can eat more than the recommended 1/4 - 1/2 cup serving size. You hear a lot of people saying cheese puffs, chips, crackers, or something of the like are their slider foods..mine is grapes.

my sliders are chips/ crackers for sure. I have coworkers that leave them in our break room all the time. So annoying! If I want them I only buy the small single serving bag. I can eat one of the little bags no problem... I try to avoid them but once in a while you can have some for a treat,

Popcorn...movie popcorn with butter...microwave popcorn...any kind of popcorn. I bought a small popcorn at the movies at about 8 months out and couldn't believe I could eat almost the whole thing. It went down so slick I didn't even realize how much I had eaten. K

i heard others sleevers' talk about "sliders" - but since it never happened to me, i figured oh well.

one day i had some plain WW popcorn

started to eat, and i realized, wow i'm eating more than usual - thats when i looked at my DH with this "face" acknowledging that i found my 1rst and hopefully last slider

oh well

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
