No, one can't use that type of vaporizer for vaping weed. It's a totally different appliance. Google marijunana vaporizer. Well known brands are Volcano, Silver Surfer, Da Buddha, Iolite, Pax, Da Vinci. There are dozens of others. Some require electricity, and these are your bigger in-home models. Some are battery operated, and these are your smaller portable models.

All of them are expensive compared to just smoking, but it's worth the investment to save yourself from the carcinogens.

Why is there advice for how to vape weed on VST? I am just scratching my head over this. Not condoning you use ( as it is legal in my state of WA now), but maybe another type of forum would be better for this topic than VST.

@fiddleman ppl are genuinely concerned about the effects of smoking if you've have vgs surgery. As for me, I get caveman sized munchies so I came looking to see how the munchies effect your sleeve, or vice versa. Also, some ppl suggest using it to help with the pain and anxiety of surgery for the first few weeks or whatever. It seems bogus but it really is a relevant topic.

I believe the original poster asked about using weed in conjunction with being sleeved. I also believe it is no different than asking about alcohol or sex or exercise. If one is going to use weed let's encourage them to do it in the healthiest manner, just as we would advise eating and drinking in moderation.

There are lots of subforums, subgroups, threads unrelated to vsg on this site, such as gay/lesbian, Christian, men's room (where I believe this thread is).

You are correct in your statement of diversity to support many different backgrounds that are represented here on VST. I believe that most doctors have asked patients to give up smoking for the surgery. Mine also said to not smoke afterwards because of ulcers, etc. Maybe it would be a good idea just to follow the advice of the doctor as he has your well being in mind when setting up the "lifestyle" rules. I am aware that in spite of doctor advice, people are going to do it anyways for whatever their reason so, yes, it is a good idea to offer advice that will prevent said smoker from damaging themselves. Sorry if I missed that point above.

You can make capsules using readily available empty Gelatin capsules and healthy coconut oil. Google is your friend.

IM FOUR WEEKS POST AND I SMOKED AM I GONNA BE OK?

Yes you'll be fine. I'm also just past four weeks out and I've smoked just about every day for the past two weeks and have been fine. Just try other options before resorting to smoking, it's better in the long run for you.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
