The Wait Will Drive Me Nutso!

OMG...this wait is making me CRAZY. I've called every day. I try to distract myself but it just doesn't work.

I'm anxious and preoccupied, and frankly, a little irritable. The longer I wait, the crankier I am!

I need some Xanax and a massage!

Well, today is the first day that I haven't called Aetna about my pre-approval but it's only bc I have a HORRIBLE toothache and I just didn't feel like hearing bad news again.

Last Friday marked 2 weeks since submission. I did everything right and I'm incredibly frustrated and down in the dumps bc it's not looking good.

Well you didn't get denied straight away like I did with my last insurance. I had a negative answer in a day. Maybe that's not a bad sign that they are taking so long?

Aetna told me they had to give a determination in 7-14 days. Is it because you had to resubmit? I'd be calling and asking for a timeframe at the very least. So sorry for the toothache to make things even worse! Hang in there. You won't even remember this part a year from now.

Still no word? I just read this thread and I thought for sure by the end you would have had a response!!!! I am so sorry this is happening to you. I just submitted today to Aetna. I was curious if calling would help speed things along but it seems that was not your experience. Please let us know how things work out for you.
