Ready4success 380 Posted September 10, 2012 I'm going to be cleared to start exercising this week, so I'm wondering what to start with. I had just started exercising after 3 years prior to surgery, so it's not like I'm returning to a heavy routine. My goal is to "work my tool" to it's full advantage. So...how do I do that? lsereno 2,525 Posted September 10, 2012 Have you been walking? I walked 3 days per week for about 45 minutes. I also strength trained 3 x per week for 30 minutes per session. There are a lot of exercise gurus on here who can provide more details, but basically, building muscle will improve your metabolism and give your skin something to drape over. For me, I feel an emotional lift from regular exercise and can feel the difference when I miss it for a while. I work out first thing in the morning because I still would rather not and I get it done before I talk myself out of it. Lynda
