Mrtiger1 12 Posted September 8, 2012 I am 9 days post op. I can eat a full pudding and not get full. I can drink 5 oz of Protein Shake at a time. Drink plenty of Water at a time. I am worried and pissed! This isn't supposed to happen. It is easy to get in all my Protein and water now.
circa 333 Posted September 8, 2012 relax. This is what is going to happen. You'll be moving to the next stage of food soon. pudding and Water should never make you 'full' Trust me, real food, and not very much of it will make you FULL. You are probably experiencing head hunger and acid issues as well. Those will make you feel unfull. Be thankful that you can get your water and Protein in - a lot of people can't. 1 CBT reacted to this

blondie1007 51 Posted September 9, 2012 Something doesnt sound right. You shouldnt be eating food at that stage. I wasnt able to get liquids down at that stage let alone pudding. I have lost 84 pounds, a size 8 and one year anniversary is not until October 8.
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted September 9, 2012 I wouldn't worry. I was in the exact same boat. By day 3 I was having no problem getting in 64oz of Water plus 2 Protein shakes a day. By the end of week 1 I think I could eat a pudding cup. Right now there are days where I feel like I can eat way too much. I eat 1250 calories a day, and I've eaten as many as 1500 a day or 2, and I'm almost 4 months post op. But still something must be working because I've lost 113 pounds. To me, it just means I need to eat the right things as much as possible because I don't have as much restriction as some people seem to have. But I don't mind. I was feeling great by 3 weeks out and still do. I'm eating right and exercising every day and the weight is still coming off. BTW, don't try to eat till your full. It's a bad habit to get into. It's a habit a lot of us probably had prior to surgery. 1 DZ1RMQ reacted to this
Teddy bear 42 Posted September 9, 2012 People are different..... don't worry.... at my puree stage, puddings didn't make me full.... when I started solids, toast was no issue either, I could eat 2 in one meal, and I was worried.. but when it comes to meat & chicken, I couldn't handle 2 bites..... also stopped eating some foods cause I always throw them up again, like spaghetti.... so stop worrying and have confidence in urself & your sleeve
