sramos89 260 Posted September 11, 2012 We have a 5 hour drive to Dallas, looked at flying and I think a lot of people do, but I was worried about the possibility of not being ready to fly on the scheduled date so we decided to drive so I can take it slow! I hope I make it! Lots of stops and walking, at least once an hour!
Angela324 13 Posted September 11, 2012 It was 6 hours for me and I handled the drive home fine with stopping to walk every hour.
fallingwhisper 187 Posted September 11, 2012 I'll have to go about 75 miles! I'm hoping there aren't too many bumps on the way home
Bright Future 9 Posted September 15, 2012 I am 2 hour away by plane. Bariatric Surgery isn't as "popular" where I live, so decided to have it done where these surgeries are done all the time, and I am very glad I did. I was a little worried about the flight back after surgery, but all went well, kept my legs moving, and stood when I could.

RickM 1,752 Posted September 18, 2012 Where in SF will you be having your surgery? I had mine done at St. Mary's by Dr. John Rabkin last May; all went very smooothly. My wife had her DS done there a few years ago by his older brother.
