First Time Using Unflavored Unjury Protein Powder - The Verdict

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried unjury unflavored in applesauce? Still pre op but thinking of the things that will easily go down in post op stages that I could add Protein to

Hmmm....you certainly COULD do this...but, in my experience (and with my nose and taste buds, which are running in hyper-drive since surgery), I'm thinking the applesauce might not have enough flavor to cover the "yeasty" flavor/smell of the unflavored Protein. Perhaps you could doctor it up with a little cinnamon, to give it a little more flavor? It'd be worth a try....but buy a sample of the unflavored powder to try, before investing in the mumbo jumbo bucket. LOL Also....and forgive me if I'm stating the obvious...make sure your applesauce is unsweetened. :)

Oh, forgot to answer your other question, For me, the broth turned into explosive diarreah. Sorry, but you asked. No nausea, just gotta go...NOW! I had the same problem when I added SF hawaiin punch to a bottle of Water.

Gotcha! :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
