Hi all,

I am 7 days out. Here is what I ate today:

Breakfast 12 ounce Protein shake

snack 32 ounces of Water

lunch 12 ounce Protein Shake

Snack 2 laughing cow cheese wedges & 16 ounces of Water

dinner 2 ounces puréed turkey & 1 tblspn of retried Beans with a dash of melted cheese

Snack 2 laughing cow cheese wedges & 16 ounces of water

Total Calories 620

Total Protein 72 g

Total Carbs 35 g

Total Water 64 ounces (Dothe shakes count as liquid too?)

I felt full after dinner. However, Does this seem like too much for 7 days out? Should I worry about having an oversized sleeve?

I haven't had my surgery yet but I was instructed to be on liquids for 3 weeks after the surgery.

Same here, I'll be on full liquids (no food) for 2-3 weeks after surgery.

I'm 3 days out and still on clear liquids... Then next week I'll be on creamy liquids then the next week mushy foods... I'm way scared of eating a lot and popping my sleeve

that doesnt seem like alot over the course of an entire day.

As long as you're not feeling major restriction in your stomach or regurging what you eat because you're overfilling yourself you should be just fine.

Shouldn't be on solid foods at 7 days out..but if you are tolerating them with no issues it might be ok

I was not eating solids at 7 days, just liquids. Just make sure you follow the doctors orders.

To answer your question about whether you have an oversized sleeve, I doubt it. When I was still eating purees and very soft foods like cheese wedges it seemed like I could eat quite a bit before the restriction was felt. However, when you get on solid foods you will notice it very quickly. Also in the first few weeks your stomach is kind of numb both because of the trauma and swelling and also because a lot of the nerves were cut during the surgery. When my tummy was still numb I could eat more without discomfort than I can now at nine weeks out because I feel everything now. Don't worry, I think you will find everything working as it should be.

That sounds very good. It's not too much food, and it's not the wrong kind of food if your doctor said it's okay. I was okayed to eat soft foods very early too- that part is between you and your doctor.

But, Water is not a snack. It's water. But everything counts toward your water intake, including you shakes, because everything they contain mostly water.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
