Readytolose2012 88 Posted September 8, 2012 I am one week post op with Dr Garcia, I am supposed to start full liquids tomorrow. I received more than one diet plan and I am confused. What did you add in for full liquids at week 2?

zenoosh 112 Posted September 8, 2012 there are several post-op diets floating around. What I've heard the most, is stick with liquids until you feel like your sleeve can take more. Then go full liquids (shakes, puddings, lowfat cream Soups, no sugar added applesauce, Jello, Popsicles, strained soups, blended bean soups ( or very cooked..like super soft )....etc. The other thing I've heard is when you try new things, try them one at a time so you know what works and what does not...i also read that many people did not like their docs post op meal plan, so they searched this forum, and found a ton of others! Main thing is, go slowly, dont even try stuff you know is wrong, and just try to get in Protein, fluids and vitamins! Im getting things in advance so I have several options post-op. Im also trying to gather samples from online companies and health food stores... Good luck, and keep us posted... Rock that new sleeve :-) <3 1 Cinders reacted to this
Readytolose2012 88 Posted September 8, 2012 Preop girls ... I received the samer preop diet plans as you but when I was released from the hospital I got a different one. You'll see. I am going to do what zenoosh said and carefully try new things. I had half a Protein Shake this morning and it went down easy

sleeved080212 46 Posted September 9, 2012 I too was sleeved by Dr. Garcia on August 2nd and I too was confused with the instructions about each phase. I came across this link when I got home and used their program which has a lot more detail. The site also has a lot of great info. http://www.cornellweightlosssurgery.org/wei_los_faq/ 1 nurseghana reacted to this

What did you add in for full liquids at week 2? That confused me as well, and even now in my 5th week, I still don't know. My sleeve is tough and has been ok with everything I've given it. I used what Dr G. gave me in the hospital because it allowed for more! Haha!! It is taken directly from the Cornell Weight Loss Surgery Program if you google it. Honestly, use your best judgement and I think you'll be fine.
Readytolose2012 88 Posted September 11, 2012 I agree, take it slow and easy adding a few things as you go.
