I may not have a true recipe, but I found something to make Protein Shakes a little more palatable. I'm only on my third day of the pre-op diet. The first day I thought "these Protein shakes are actually pretty good". The next day I thought "well, at least they're not THAT bad". Then today I'm thinking "how in the world am I ever going to live off these things?"????? Then I had an idea. I put some peppermint extract in my chocolate shake. To my surprise it made it so much better! Tomorrow I'm going to try banana in vanilla, and others. Tinka504 46 Posted November 24, 2012 I use extracts in my shakes everytime I do a vanilla Protein, with lit vanilla soy along with a few drops of coconut extract and it tastes like Cake batter ...yum You can also use a plain Protein, and use a couple drops of pineapple and a couple drops of coconut extract and make pina colada ... Also to chocolate protein, you can add a few drops of mint or strawberry..and its amazzzzin.
