Teriiann 34 Posted September 6, 2012 So, I have been lurking around here for a while.......Reading up on as much info as possible. Back when I was gun ho about getting the sleeve done my insurance did not cover the sleeve only the gastric bypass, which I did not want. I have recently begun to look into the sleeve again. We are less than 6 month away from revising our insurance plan. We keep the same insurance but we are able to choose different plans to fit our needs. I had talked with my hubby to change it to the best plan for where they will pay 100% on most. The plan I have now I had to come up with 6000 dollars which was impossible. The good news is I just got off the phone with my surgeons office and she looked into my insurance cause sometimes they will change it. They changed it!!! They now cover the sleeve, I am so darn excited!!!! Scared at the same time.... So I will start my 6 months of Nut visits this month do my phyc evaluation and some blood work. I do have 5 years back of my bmi being high, high blood pressure, in the gray for my cholestrol, joint pain, back pain, blah blah..........all that stuff with carrying around a extra 100 pds plus. I am so happy they cover it, but yet at the same time its scary that it might actually happen, considering all things with our finaces work out. Yea!!! :) 2 TamaraS and Darkkyss reacted to this
