Matrix Protein mix in chocolate, or banana, or orange cream. I like to add stuff in to make them delicious, such as the sf syrups and/or frozen berries. I do use premier that everyone likes, but I use it when I have to take Protein on the go.

Baby bell light cheese

already cooked chicken fajitas strips

I am not much on sweet stuff so i take plain greek yogurt and add stuff like parmesan cheese and salt and pepper, dried ranch dressing, salsa verde, mix it in with chilli sauce and it makes a yummy protein supplement and tastes naughty like real sour cream.

chicken - I eat it probably 7-8 times a week between lunch & dinner!

eggs (I start nearly every morning with some form of egg - either over med or a 1-egg omelet with ham, cheese, mushrooms & diced tomato)

cheese of any kind - that was a great snack for me early after surgery, I would buy the 2% cheese and have chunks of it for Snacks. Boosted the Protein for the day!

After I typed this I saw top 3. Idiot me! I'm not going to erase what I wrote so I'll add:

1. Greek yogurt

2. meat

3. cheese

I always pack these three things in my lunch and snack bento box for the day.

Here's the rest of the stuff I eat regularly:

Milk, my chocolate and vanilla Protein powder, SF Torani syrups, Lowfat Cottage cheese, Low or nonfat Greek yogurt, light string cheese, light Baby Bell cheese, Laughing Cow wedges, any cheese at all, almonds, pistachios, nut butters, Alpino or Buon Gusto salami, chicken, beef, pork loin, shrimp, scallops, Beans, quinoa, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, zuchinni, pineapple, grapes, watermelon, berries and at least 82% dark chocolate.< /p>

These are things always in my cupboard, fridge or freezer and always on the shopping list.

Oh, and eggs. We have hens so I always have eggs.< /p>

1- scallops, especially cooked with a sweet Thai chili sauce (omg so good!)

2- teriyaki beef Jerky from Walmart. 1 ounce is 12 grams of Protein, and you have no choice but to eat it slow.

3- black bean Soup from any Mexican restaurant. With a little sour cream or Greek yogurt on top. Yum! It helps with my Protein and calorie intake.

1. cheese - Gorgonzola, sharp, mozzarella... You name it, I love it. Lately I've been in a kick of blue cheese crumbles on celery sticks.

2. Beef Jerky (favorite is the target brand)

3. Pickles - Not sure why but I've been craving salty foods ever since surgery. I'm quite happy though to have traded my sweet tooth.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
