ashley624 21 Posted September 5, 2012 I have been seeing a lot of posts saying bring gas x strips to the hospital. Is this allowed in all hospitals?
Randgalt 43 Posted September 5, 2012 They gave me gas-x drops immediately when I was out of surgery.
sleeveconvert 55 Posted September 5, 2012 im taking mine. they can tell me no but Im ready with them if allowed. i am allowed to bring my at home meds so as not to be charged- a pharmacist will come to m room, verify the labelled bottle and i can use mine. He can look at those too i suppose.
Foxbins 625 Posted September 5, 2012 Quite frankly, I had Gas-X strips and Gas-X pills and I never used a single one. The CO2 gas for the surgery is in your belly and Gas-X strips don't do anything to help it. The gas in your tummy is just air from when you swallow and the best way to deal with it is to keep burping. I wouldn't worry about it if they say no.
