Amandazee13 57 Posted September 4, 2012 I am 22 years old living in ny ( where men are already scarce as is !) and I'm nervous that since I've been vsg'd that men may find me a lot less appealing since I've had this surgery. Has there been any women here that have been sleeved and found it harder to date? I know people like us Are judged, and I'm nervous that if I find a guy he may be turned off by it? I've been single for a long time and a part of this surgery was hopeful to make me More attractive as well as all of the other great things that goes with it ( having heart disease and such)
ShoeLover 141 Posted September 4, 2012 Why does anyone you're dating have to know that you are sleeved? I wouldn't divulge that information to a suitor until we become serious. 2 missjenny and Caradina reacted to this

Thats what I mean, what if you get more serious and then you tell him about it? I havent really told anyone i had this surgery (except fam and close friends) People really do judge, even when they seem like theyre not
belaire30 20 Posted September 4, 2012 Well I'm married going on 7 years and we've been together 13 years to me since I've been sleeved I fill a lot more insecure than before but I know I will be happy and healthier in the end. To me the sleeve and weight loss should make you more attractive because losing the weight will boost your confidence and ultimately men are attractive to confident women. MustangAli 9 Posted September 4, 2012 I was sleeved 2/22/11, got into a serious relationship 2/7/2012, and barely told him last month the truth about my extreme weight loss. We have been friends forever so he knew I lost fast but didnt know how. I didnt want to tell him, but I did, and Im glad. I no longer have to make up excuses why I cant finish a plate of food. He understands and supports me. If you are serious with someone, and evern better IF THEY LOVE YOU, it will all be ok. Promise =) 1 kmwheel reacted to this

FishingNurse 1,211 Posted September 4, 2012 I met the love of my life 2 months post op! He met me at 200 pounds plus, and has supported me through it all. It's definately possible to find a man (or woman) that is supportive and nonjudgementaI. I think you do not have to disclose that you are sleeved until the right time. Don't let it deter you from looking for someone!
