Awesome job! Thanks for the photos. And you can join me in the "never-puked-since-being-sleeved" club. I'm almost 2 years post-op and it hasn't happened to me yet! ;)

Knock on wood..

I never puke.. I hate it..

That is funny because it is on my all-time list of most hated things. I was considering the band (before I learned about the sleeve) and then I found out that sometimes if food doesn't go down it comes back up...and I could never wrap my mind around that.

I think if you are this far out and it hasn't happened yet, it's not going to! B)

Was that your highest weight or the weight on the day of surgery. Could you give an idea of what your daily menu is as well as your physical activity so I can copy your plan!!

My weight was 347, day of surgery was 336, I count the start of my journey as my start weight.. I honestly don't have a magical diet, I stay very active.. And pretty much eat what I want.. My portions are tiny, but I feel the key to my success is activity..

Ok, ok, I have to add my WOWS and congrats, as well. You've done amazingly. But I have to add for the ladies...men have it all over us in the weight loosing department, so don't expect similar results. I'm not diminishing your efforts, which had to be great or you would not have been so successful. Ya dun good!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
