Prissy 8 Posted September 4, 2012 I has my sleeve on Aug.7th, and lost 17lbs so far, but I've been at a stall for two weeks now and I don't know what to do about it. I'm getting in my Protein and my Water. I'm not doing strenuous exercise but I am going to the gym and working out for 45 minutes or more each day. I've been keeping my calories between 800-900 a day and very low carbs. Has anyone else experienced this kind of stall? Does anyone have suggestions? I'm kind of getting upset that yes, I've lost weight but now I've come to a halt. It's extremely aggravating since we've gone through so much to do this surgery and then you just stop seeing results... ???? Any suggestions I would greatly appreciate! ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted September 4, 2012 girlfriend congrats on WLS and loosing 17 lbs. totally terrific this is your first stall? won't be your last this too shall pass you are under one month post surgery - much more good to come there are many posts/threads on stalls that other people have written. you are most definitely not alone stalls can last anywhere from 2 weeks/ 2 month/ even longer don't despair (msp?) sooner than later you'll be on your continued uphill journey with the sleeve, to get your weight to go downhill - and your health and happiness will continue to go upwards too all good things come to those who wait good luck 1 lessofmeismore reacted to this

Chicago1962 125 Posted September 5, 2012 Kathy - I really appreciate your encouragement. Prissy - I have had a stall for a little over three weeks so I am totally with you. I think I just broke through mine yestersay (finally) but it was hard mentally not to see the numbers go down. Just do what you need to and continue to be mindful of every drink and bite. We are learning all new things about eating and caring for ourselves. One of the things we are learning is patience... and endurance... I'm here if you need encouragement. Stay the course! Your body is adjusting! You can do it!!!!
Prissy 8 Posted September 5, 2012 Thank you, Kathy! I'm sorry to hear that you had recently gone through the same thing, it's very frustrating! I know it will drop eventually but it's so hard when you work so hard to get to a certain point and nothing is happening. I hope you do not have any more problems with stalls any time soon or even at all because they are extremely frustrating. Thank you again for the support! Lisabell07 5 Posted September 5, 2012 I agree with other posts that this is totally normal. I had almost a month of little or no weight loss and then I changed from working out in evening to morning, added more "real food" like fish and veggies, and began tracking EVERYTHING on MyNetDiary. Then yesterday, BOOM, lost 3lbs. I have lost 30lbs since surgery on July 11 but this surgery is definitely not the easy way out, I think more and work harder on myself since this surgery then any other program I have attempted. Stay strong and just shake up your routine, you have to outsmart your body! Good Luck!
