susie77453 32 Posted September 4, 2012 I'm getting sleeved at 8.30 tomorrow morning and am just getting everything packed now. Any suggestions for essential things to pack?
peacequeen 434 Posted September 4, 2012 Some things you think you'll need, you might not. I wouldn't over pack. I wanted my pillow from home so I took that. I took a gown but they wanted me to wear the hospital gowns so never used it. I took a change of under clothes and clothes to wear home. Here's a list of things you might need: Tooth Paste and tooth brush Body Wash Lotion Deodorant Mouthwash hair Brush House slippers Chap Stick Gas x Phone and charger MP3 player or laptop..something to occupy your time Magazines or crossword puzzles If you use a cpap,,don't forget it

Texarkolina 201 Posted September 4, 2012 I used precious little of all the stuff I packed. I had dry mouth so bad after surgery and I was grateful to have my own toothbrush and brand of toothpaste. I also picked up some bioten spray and mouthwash at the drugstore. It is designed to help with dry mouth and was a lifesaver for me. The chapstick helped, too. I didn't need anything to occupy my time as I was sleeping or walking the whole time. Good Luck!
peacequeen 434 Posted September 4, 2012 I keep forgetting I was in there for quite a while. You may not use all that you pack but good to be prepared in case.

dobrien03 31 Posted September 4, 2012 I recommend bringing ear plugs so you can rest. I didn't have them the first night and the beeping I've kept me up. I had them the second night. But I recommend you ask the nurse before using them. Good luck!
