Hey eveyone, its good to see everyone back here again. I sure wish I could get motivated to lose this weight. What gets you guys motivated for even just a one good day? Also how do you stop the snacking at night? I eat one thing after another. I was like last night don't eat dinner just snack all night, What are your secrets?

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Mary

Hi Mary! I find that eating a dinner full of Protein really helps curb the urge to snack later on... Most dinners all I end up eating is the protein part and not the rest. I have always been a huge evening snacker... Once in a while I will treat myself though, but I always limit the amount... Also, when the urge strikes, try drinking a glass of Water, that might help... Along with just not keeping the bad stuff in the house...

Good Luck! :clap2:

I forgot to tell you my motivation.... My biggest one is being 241 pounds... The lowest weight I have been in 15 years! I will NEVER allow myself to be 282 EVER again.... Everytime that scale ticks down another pound I tell myself that it is another pound that I will NEVER see again... Sometimes I feel like I am in AA/NA and taking it one minute/day at a time. Little successes add up to big successes!

Our bands are not "cures" to being overweght, but tools that assist us in loosing the weight and living healthly lives again! It is not easy, by any means, but you can and will do it!

Well it has been a while since I posted.. I was traveling.. Went to Vegas and Chicago back to back.. I was hard to stay on track.. eatting out day and night.. but I walked my butt off in Vegas and lost my butt in the casinos.. I went to the Dr yesterday..and in the past month I lost 4 pounds.. not bad for eatting out. so I asked for a 1/2 fill.. because I feel like my portions were getting a little bigger.. so yesterday was Clear Liquids and today full liquids. How did we do it for weeks? 2 days is hard..

It has been nice here so I have been doing things outside to keep active.. I also bought a core stability ball to doo things at home..Have no used it yet since it has been nice, I have walked did yard work.. and cleaned my garage..

Happy Sunday friends!

got on the scale to see if i was making any headway to this easter challenge and my scale finally showed a # i hadnt seen yet! Maybe this yoyoness is over!:clap2:

I also bought the yummiest Protein powder! Isofruit Delight. I've tried the sngle packets of the cantalope and loved it.

Went for the big jug and got the green apple. YYUUMMM. 100 calories a scoop and 21 g of protein. it is so nice becuase its not like the think shakes i've had with the myoplex packets. I feel guilty a little since i have a ton of myolplex packets work bought for me and a thing of GNC vanilla that i never opened.

but mmmmmmmmm!

off to figure out how to make no-sew blanets and try to make room for a treadmill my DH doesnt think we have room for

have a wonderful Sunday!

She has probably joined the STARVATION NATION! If that's the case,

she'll get tired of that $hit, and on the weight will come.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
