Seven7 19 Posted September 3, 2012 Hi everyone! I'm not sure I'm doing this right, but here goes. I'm scheduled to have my sleeve on September 21st, the day after my 56th birthday! I'm a little anxious, and occasionally think about everything that COULD go wrong, but I know that this is a new beginning for me. I have struggled all my life with my weight, and have been at least 100 pounds over weight for the last 25 years. I have never had any kind of anesthesia, even when I got my wisdom teeth removed, so I'm a little apprehensive about the whole surgery thing. My surgeon told me I would stay overnight in the hospital and get to go home the day after. So.....how was everyone's recovery post surgery? 1 gigi4 reacted to this

Usardukes 7 Posted September 4, 2012 I am post-op 3 days and was so thankful to stay an extra night in the hospital. All I can say is dont rush it. Everyone is different and I apparently had a rough time in recovery...had no idea until I was coherent the next day! You will be just fine! Good luck!!! Consider thisan incredible birthday present and next year when you are celebrating you will be celebrating with your new self! 1 Seven7 reacted to this

roni 711 6 Posted September 4, 2012 Hi I'm new here, and have just started the process (met surgeon, got insurance stuff started). I am really worried about the anesthesia. The last time I had surgery I wouldn't wake up the surgeon came out and asked my husband if I always took this long to wake up. I was the first patient in and the last patient out. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks
