I Forgot - I Think .. Now What Do I Do?

Recommended Posts

I can't remember if I took my multi vit this morning. Do I take it anyway or just wait until tomorrow?

Would there be effects of missing a day? What do you think?

You can take one now. Wouldn't hurt anything. Extra Vitamins just get peed out. :)

I LOVE this postand dont know why! i am an emotional basketcase right now and trying to get through the 1st week post-op without freaking out. I look forward to worrying about missing my Vitamins :-) Right now i am just hoping that the next flavor I try of Isopure is better than the orange flavor I am drinking right now.

I use to worry about having to take my Vitamin, I was afraid they wouldn't fit in my tummy. You can take and extra today or you can wait until tomorrow. No harm no foul. :)

Have you tried putting a paket of splenda in it - I did because it was the only way I could get it down.

On the other note:

give yourself time, it's only been a week. You'll get thru it. If you can drink milk, try muscle milk lite - chocolate, vanilla, strawberry flavors, not sure of other flavors. Or you could try whey Protein isolate, it comes in a few more flavors than just choco, van, strawberry.< /p>

I know you've taken it already, but if it happens again I would just wait until the next day. Some of the Vitamins are Water soluble, like B12, but some are not, they are fat soluble. Water soluble vitamins will be excreted from your body if you take too much, fat soluble aren't. Fat soluble vitamins: A, D, E, and K can build up in your body and it's possible to overdose on them. It's just one Multivitamin so you'll be fine, but just for the future/if you're curious: http://www.medicinen...rticlekey=10736

Thanks Izuri that's helpful to know.

My whole life I always got sick from multi's. I always thought my body produced too much of something- and trust me I experiment w/food, without it, times of day, etc.. I think it might be "E"-- I would get a headache and VERY nauseous.

My PA approved the CVS children's chewable after reading all the ingredients and it seems to be the only one I can take. (plus I take Calcium, B12 and D)

How do you live without those plastic containers that have the days of the week on them? Every morning I take them out of the day we are in and put them on the counter (in cute little soy sauce dishes). I use two as I was told to take my Calcium at night. They sit there until after Breakfast has digested a bit then I take them between breakfast and lunch. But without the MTWTHFSS container, I'd be lost! You can get them in the grocery store or any drug store. I take a multi, fish oil, Biotin, Vit D, B12, and Glucosomine in the morning and two calcium at night. Once in while I forget but I don't stress about it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
