My Mom's Gift To Me

Recommended Posts

She really is trying to understand this all and help me with my future food choices. She's worried about my puréed food stage. So, yesterday she gave me an early birthday gift. She bought me a super blender that just grinds up everything. She really wants me to be able to put whatever the family is eating into the blender so I can have 'real' food while on the purée stage.

In my family, food=love. She's trying. Without food, she's lost- so this is her next best way.

Bless her heart. I totally understand this. While my mom would hint to me about dieting and that I need to lose weight, the next hour or so she'd be telling me I need to eat! I swear that I couldn't do this now if my mom lived close by, the holidays will be hard enough:)

It is nice that she is trying. That super blender will come in very handy for you. It's great for making Protein smoothies. I liked to puree bean Soup down to a thick creamy consistency so I could have them during my full liquid phase. Some of the things your family is eating for dinner will puree nicely. I made my family a chicken caserole and threw mine in the food processor and was able to eat it. It wasn't quite as appetizing to me that way, but it had the same flavor, so I lived with it. Enjoy your early birthday present! For your next birthday she will have to buy you new clothes because nothing from this birthday will fit!

I just need to keep her in the loop and educate her as well. If I don't watch out, I may end up with every kitchen gadget known to man!

That's really sweet of her to be trying even though she may not really be sure how to help =)
