Just finished upper gi and now I am having Soup, Jello, and Water. The food is going down smooth. Still have a lot of gas pains and some other discomfort (like muscle cramp feelings?). I have walked the entire hospital today. Now I am sitting back eating and watching tv waiting for discharge.

How are you feeling? Day 3 & 4 were my worst days of the whole process. Just make sure you walk. Don't worry abt drinking as long as you've got an IV in.

My surgery was 8/3 as well. Felt pretty good yesterday, lots more gas and gurgles today. I've got 2 more days here in the hospital and really hope the majority of my discomfort clears up by the time I am released.
