msvickee 212 Posted September 1, 2012 I am 9 weeks out and trying to eat fruit. What is good to the sleeve? I've eaten watermelon and applesauce which were both fine. I need variety!
Robyn Owens-Miille 132 Posted September 1, 2012 I like cantaloupe, watermelon, apples (no skin yet), pineapple (canned). All have been fine for me as long as I chew, chew, chew.
Robyn Owens-Miille 132 Posted September 1, 2012 Almost forgot.... I put sliced strawberries and other frozen berries (no sugar) in my greek yogurt nearly every day.
vsginnj 415 Posted September 1, 2012 Bananas, mangos ,blueberries, any kind of melon, haven't had any fruit my sleeve can't tolerate. Be careful with skins and seeds and you should be fine.

gustavo52974 369 Posted September 1, 2012 I'm starting my 7th week and so far I still can't eat sugar without having a terrible bathroom experience. If anyone else has had that problem, do you have the same reaction with fruit? My post-op diet says I can have fruit, but I'm scared to try.
CoolBreeze 154 Posted September 1, 2012 I've had watermelon, honeydew, cantalope. My sleeve tells me to have only a couple of pieces on the honeydew & cantalope and about 5 pieces on the watermelon. I've also had strawberries but only 2 cut in half.
CoolBreeze 154 Posted September 1, 2012 Forgot to mention... I tried grapes (green ones) too but could only eat 4 or 5 (chewing, chewing, chewing) at one time.
keldolbeth 262 Posted September 1, 2012 I'll be 10 weeks Monday... I have strawberries regularly- with greek yogurt, on a Breakfast tortilla pizza, in pancake bites (thanks EggFace). I bought some red seedless grapes last week and had no problem... until I logged them on MFP and realized how sugary they were. I've also put peaches in yogurt. I've done bananas in shakes and on breakfast pizzas. I've made a few recipes with pineapple, haven't had it by itself. At 4 weeks out I had some watermelon. I haven't had really any problems with fruit.< /p>
misslisa810 33 Posted September 2, 2012 I eat strawberries or blueberries daily. I had a bad reaction to cantaloupe, so I won't be trying that soon!
Losingitforgood! 50 Posted September 2, 2012 My eating plan excludes fruit for 1 year. It is VERY hard!
