lake_gurl2012 1 Posted September 1, 2012 Hi just looking for some advice. I started back to work in remote camps, inthe oil/gas industry. I am at camp up to 6 weeks at a time. We don't have a good gym, and really needing some ideas for switching up the work out routine .... Any help would be awesome thanks
Lissa 2,631 Posted September 1, 2012 You can do wonders with walking, running, and straight calisthenics like we were taught in physical education classes as kids. Perhaps take a book of exercises with you? Add in some weight lifting with what you can find at camp. Light weights and high repetitions will start building muscle. Good luck! lollyfidy1965 402 Posted September 1, 2012 You might try elastic bands....they roll up into almost no space, weigh next to nothing, and you can get a variety of different amounts of resistance, in order to increase the "weight" over time. Walking is also great...and you can add wrist/ankle weights, to increase the amount of work you do. Best of luck! Laura
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted September 1, 2012 I second the resistance bands. You can do tons of exercises with just 1 band.
