I'm 9 days post op and on full liquids and cottage cheese, etc. Sometimes i feel like something gets stuck half way between my lower neck and sternum. Other times its right under my sternum. Its like a squeezing pressure and only lasts a couple seconds, but still annoying. Today it did it when i drank water!?! Will this feeling ever go away?

Thanks for your helpful response. Geesh. I did not mean for it to post 3 times. Im posting on my cell phone and sometimes they do strange things. Sorry

Im on this forum for helpful advise.

no problem. i wasn't trying to be an (_|_), i just was like "wow... she must really have something going on to post 3 times." lol

i would have offered a suggestion, but i don't know & didn't want to tell you anything that i wasn't 100% about.

only helpful thing i can say is contact your doctor & see what they say about your issue. also was not trying to be an (_|_) there, was just sorta stating the obvious.

in any case, i do hope you'll get your situation resolved & i wish you the best. :)

PS: it is not 3 times, it is 4 times.... :/ i wonder how your phone did that. (genuine curiosity, again, not trying to be an ass)

U might be drinking/ eating too fast . This happens to me also when I take too big of a sip or eat a bite with our waiting for a few minutes before the next. If your eating/drinking slow I would suggest asking your nutrionist /doctor.

This is true for me too. If I eat/drink too much or too fast it will feel stuck beneath my sternum.

I'm 4 days post op and the same thing happens if my sips are too large. My surgeon told me about this so I don't worry but I try to avoid by sipping less buy more often.
