TheNewSusie 471 Posted August 31, 2012 I bought the insanity video months ago (before my sleeve) did it for 5 days but I couldn't keep up and I gave up, I was 250 then, now I'm 218 and keep pondering if I should start it up again or wait because it really is insane! I've been going to the gym, either doing the elliptical for an hour or the treadmill for an hour at a 7.5 incline (woohoo!) I just dont know if I should start insanity again, help! Lol
cmf1267 27 Posted August 31, 2012 I think you should start it. You can modify or take breaks as you need. I have Insanity too. I'm hoping to start it when I get down to about 200 pounds!! Good luck!!

COsleeveDude 273 Posted August 31, 2012 I wonder if P90X or Insanity isn't too much if you're on low cal. Don't wanna burn up all of your muscle. Make sure to increase your Protein intake.
Lissa 2,631 Posted August 31, 2012 I say go for it if you want to try! Just remember that it is REALLY intense. I think Stronger Diva did/was doing it, but I'm not sure if she ever finished the program. Knowing her, she finished it! Let us know how it goes please. That's why I was wondering, I should've been more specific with my words. My brothers says I will burn more fat but I barely get in 700 calories ;/
COsleeveDude 273 Posted August 31, 2012 I think there's an obsession with losing too fast. It's easy enough to lose quickly with the sleeve. Not trying to discourage you, though. No harm in trying and see what you think. I'm a guy, so I'm trying to bulk up while trimming down. That's tough, but I don't mind losing slower in order to keep my Protein up and my calories a little higher to try and gain some muscle. Good luck. COsleeveDude 273 Posted August 31, 2012 Ya, I hear ya, I probably shouldn't have added that commentary. Just seems that the goal of those "extreeeeme" workouts is to drop as much weight as fast as possible. But, again, you might like it. You might not. You might only be able to or want to do some of it. It will definitely get you in shape, no question. I know a guy at work who is in pretty good shape and P90X was kicking his butt for the first few weeks. I don't mind losing slow either, I just have the DVD and not sure if I should do it or not... traceyinflorida 499 Posted August 31, 2012 I have a similar workout that I ordered about two weeks after surgery. I have yet to open the box. It has now been sitting on my dresser for two and a half months! I will make you a deal...if you try your workout tomorrow, I will open my box and try my workout. I guess I just need some extra motivation. I await your post!
