O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted August 31, 2012 the reason I posted this is because my son was enjoying some doritos with Lemon and tapatillo and got to wonder if sleever are able to handle some things like this and if they have how was the experience on this note can any body tolerate hot sauce or chili like jalapeño salsa but I'm happy that people had kick of this posting Spicy is not a problem. I rarely eat anything that isn't spicy. I regularly eat rested jalapeños., & I can put chile verde on almost anything. Shrimp cocktail(Mexican style) is a staple for me and it has to have plenty of Valentina salsa in it. Just got done with a bowl of curry shrimp(extra spicy). 1 lessofmeismore reacted to this
vsginnj 415 Posted August 31, 2012 First of all' date=' "advise" is a verb. I think you meant to use the word "advice". But I can charitably overlook your 4th grade spelling mistakes. Second, who is mocking whom? I see no mocking here. I gave my advice, yes A-D-V-I-C-E, to the person who started this post about Doritos...what else do you want from us? Did you expect us to tell him, yes by all means, chow down on Doritos? In fact, I believe someone did! Seriously, where do you get off judging us, and misjudging us for having a little witty fun? There are so many serious, and frankly depressing, discussions on here...why don't you go find one of those to unload your screed. And I'm embarrassed for you. You come on here and tell us we're being judgmental just because we were amused by the imagery of ALL our posts on here? Are you the president of People Against Fun? Concerned Women of America? Pearl Clutchers With Shocked Faces? Damn, now I really should post the picture of my ass in chaps. Go lick your cheese puffs somewhere else.[/quote'] Yeah go get them assless chaps, I stand right behind you 2 gustavo52974 and Sleeved&Hopeful reacted to this

Territravel 217 Posted August 31, 2012 Thanks for every one that had some thing to say good or bad but to my defense if you read the question i simply say has any body tried them and how far out I never said that I was going to eat some or that I wanted some Sorry JR! Too busy goofing off and did not answer your question....Yes, I tried some Doritos at about 8 weeks post op. I think they were called Spicy Chili. I had 3 and they were wonderful. Didn't bother my sleeve at all.
Trcyprkr70 69 Posted August 31, 2012 I agree with butterthebean....I actually laughed at some of the post...laughter is good for the soul....everyone here really want to see people succeed. I fell off because for some reason I stop wanting meat & only wanted soft stuff, such as macaroni salad, mashed potatoes...I got back up & dust myself off....I started back to Protein Shakes to get back on track. I was doing the happy dance today after I got on the scale & down three more lbs after a three week stall...yayyy me 5 lessofmeismore, Cookeeeeez, Butterthebean and 2 others reacted to this
Cookeeeeez 269 Posted August 31, 2012 I LUV thread hijackers! We should start a fast n furious section where a straight-man asks a question and we see how nuts we can go on it!!! I actually think there was a great lot of adviCe in the humour: tasting tasty exterior of treats = great low-cal option + leftovers for unsuspecting others... I wonder if it would work with choc-coat peanuts as well as salted snacks!? 4 Catracks, gustavo52974, lessofmeismore and 1 other reacted to this
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted August 31, 2012 I agree! This thread is awesome. The question was answered and we got to go down memory lane with some very witty posters. I was smiling each time I read the responses. It was nice. Laughter is a good thing and the people posting were enjoying each others posts. I did not see anyone laughing *at* someone. It was a great exchange of info and fun. 3 gustavo52974, 4ALongerLife and Trcyprkr70 reacted to this
TiredOfChubRub 21 Posted August 31, 2012 The other day I divvied out a small bag of Cool ranch Doritos to my kids and had the seasoning on my hands. It was torture. So I feel your pain.
LA_dreamer 54 Posted August 31, 2012 So excited to see that some of y'all can tolerate Louisiana hot sauce. We have it on just about everything. It was even one thing i craved while pregnant. And i cook alot of my veggies (cabbage, black eyed peas) with a tbsp of candied jalapenos. Ugh.. now my head hunger is back. I'm ready for food!

Catracks 865 Posted August 31, 2012 On a side note: I'll see your Frito Lay job and raise you a Coldstone one Just got hired there for my 4th job a few weeks ago. Good thing Hamilton isn't happy with sugar. You named your sleeve "Hamilton?" Hee hee! Check out Eggface's website for Protein ice cream you can make yourself. I have this cheap soft serve maker and it takes 15 minutes. You can add nuts and things to it too. Please point to the post where someone is laughing at the OP. He got some good advice, got his question answered...then the whole thread sorta spiraled out of control, but so what. There is nothing wrong with laughing....especially at ourselves. Mostly ourselves, more so at Gustavo Love ya! 2 gustavo52974 and mesaucedo reacted to this

I actually think there was a great lot of adviCe in the humour: tasting tasty exterior of treats = great low-cal option + leftovers for unsuspecting others... I wonder if it would work with choc-coat peanuts as well as salted snacks!? You mean suck off the chocolate and give the peanuts to the dog? You are seriously dreaming :-) Kidding aside. sometimes my evening snack is a square of 82% dark chocloate and a few almonds. I think it's my one moderation thing, but I have read over and over how good for you dark chocolate is and how good for you almonds are. I know I have to keep this under control because I get sick on too much sugar and a tiny handful of nuts can net you 100 calories. 1/4 cup is near 200! Mmmmm, yum. Louisiana hot sauce and jalapeños on popcorn. That is so delish. I'm only 3 days post-op, but man that sure does sound good. Be very careful with popcorn. It's not for the early months. It's low calories and has good Fiber, but it's also a slider for some. I sprinkle cayenne and/or garlic salt on mine. I also have to watch my salt, but it's funny. I don't salt my food anymore. Only popcorn. All the nuts I eat are unsalted too. I never thought that would happen to me.
*susan* 1,709 Posted August 31, 2012 Abbybeep' date=' pointing someone in a good direction is not "judging." The word is overused. There is nothing wrong with pointing out alternatives. Mine would be to wait 3 or 6 months (whatever his surgeon says about popcorn) and try air popped or stove popped popcorn (with a teeny bit of olive oil) with hot sauce sprinkled on it. Stay away from all movie theater and microwave popcorn. Popcorn is better without the added fat and chemicals. Check out TheworldaccordingtoEggface.
