kczar 166 Posted August 30, 2012 I actually haven't felt any hunger pains yet. I'm really on a schedule to make sure I'm getting my Protein in. In a way, it's very freeing to not obsess about what I'm going to eat. (But I can't wait to get to the soft food stage next week so I can taste something other than chocolate, Soup and fruit-flavored drinks!)
Randgalt 43 Posted August 30, 2012 OK - I'm making an attempt at drinking a Protein Shake. Hope it goes down well.

Randgalt 43 Posted August 30, 2012 Just take it slow. I was just sipping at first. We have a brand new digestive system and we have to re-learn how to use it.
Ready4success 380 Posted August 30, 2012 I'm 2 days post-op too. All I've had so far is broth, sf Popsicles, sf Jello and G2. My mommy (I'm 36, lol) just went to the store to get V8 and creamed Soups for me to try. I'm glad, because my new stomach is hungry!!!!
Randgalt 43 Posted August 30, 2012 The Tomato Soup went down fine - I made sure it was milk-free.

Butterthebean 8,146 Posted August 30, 2012 Keep walking. It takes a while but eventually you will get relief. Most people have the gas for several days after they get home. Comes with the territory. And don't worry, gagging and passing gas will not rip open your sleeve. If it did, we all would have been in emergency surgery. 3 Need-a-Sleeve, pretty-pink and sarahmoni reacted to this

Butterthebean 8,146 Posted August 31, 2012 For me, it hurt much worse keeping it in. I don't remember any discomfort when it came out...kinda like a few hiccups, then it was over and I felt better. 1 sarahmoni reacted to this
